In the Spotlight Joshua Burkavage

Former Honesdale High School standout Joshua Burkavage is enjoying a stellar career academically and athletically at the NCAA level.

A sophomore member of the King's College football team, Burkavage is listed a a 190-pound linebacker in the school's Media Guide.

Josh participated in four games at the varsity level this fall. He closed out the 2016 campaign with two solo tackles in the battle against archrival Wilkes University. He finished with three on the year.

Burkavage is also faring well in the classroom.

He is pursuing studies in Criminal Justice and was recently named to the MAC All-Academic Team. The Monarch football team received 20 selections, the most of any team.

King's went 5-5 overall and 5-4 in conference.
